We play "the" hits.

We played our CMJ show last night. Sadly our slot was at 12am. Also, sadly, we didn't get to see our friends in Screaming Females or Bang Bang Eche play--as they also had 12am sets at other venues--but many thanks to everyone that came and saw us play too many songs. In better news, Silent Way will be playing with Bang Bang Eche and Math the Band in NYC at The Glass Door on November 14th. And... our next local show will be this Saturday (Oct. 24th) with Nimdok, Heavy Cream, and Natural Child.

In other news, Silent Way now has a proper touring vehicle. So long comfort of Drucker's Dad's Dodge Nitro, hello comfort of our very own Ford Econo-line.

That's all the news I have right now, updates coming soon.

The past and beyond.

We played a show with the very excellent Batrider this weekend. Mirrors and Wires and Under Anchor threw down great sets that night as well. People generally responded well to our set-list which is rather encouraging, since most of the songs will be on the upcoming LP. Response to Adrian, our drummer and newest member to the Silent Way line-up, has been generally positive as well. It was never going to be an easy undertaking, but thanks to all our friends that have been willing and able to fill out the roster for shows, touring, and recording these last few months.

The upcoming LP, Wound (rhymes with sound, not mooned), is currently being readied for duplication and we should be getting our hands on test pressings shortly. Our next project is to put together some songs for a tour cd-r to take up and down the east coast come January. We're also planning on trying to do a small run of the album on compacted diskette format, too--so be on the lookout for those releases at merch tables this winter and there after. Other than that, we're writing songs for future releases. More on those when those releases are more than ambition and wishes.

Our next performance this month is going to be in NYC at CMJ, the venue, Kenny's Castaways. We're going on in the champagne hours of Wednesday the 21st. Our time slot has been bumped forward a bit but since things are still changing, we don't have confirmed, specific times to give just yet... Also, champagne hour doesn't seem to have any real meaning, a quick Google search seemed to demonstrate champagne hours being anything between 9am and 1am--but I meant it as being pretty late in the evening. We'll get the times nailed down shortly, i promise. maybe.

Myspace is currently the only place to hear our songs online so we'll be cycling new songs in with some regularity. Also, it hosts current dates and the first draft of our next tour route. We'll post information there and migrate it over when it's less fluid.
